Vasteras\u2019ta ger\u00e7ekle\u015fen bu \u00f6zel gecenin sonras\u0131 bu iki \u015fahane m\u00fczisyen Maria ve Cecilia ile bir araya geldik.<\/h5>\n
\u0130kili ad\u0131n\u0131 19. y\u00fczy\u0131l\u0131n sonlar\u0131nda \u0130sve\u00e7’in g\u00fcney b\u00f6lgelerinde ya\u015fayan bir kad\u0131n halk kahraman\u0131ndan al\u0131yor. Mariam The Believer, Timber Timbre, Bj\u00f6rk. Tom Waits, Les Big Byrd, Kriget, Erik Satie, Jos\u00e9 Gonzales, Ane Brun gibi m\u00fczisyenleri dinliyorlar ve ilham al\u0131yorlar. Bug\u00fcne kadar bir\u00e7ok \u00fclkede sahne ald\u0131lar ve de almaya devam ediyorlar. Grup May\u0131s ay\u0131nda Jazz a\u00e1 Ouaga kapsam\u0131nda Burkina Faso\u2019da dinleyicisi ile bulu\u015facak.<\/h5>\n
Ar\u015fivime de eklemekten \u00e7ok mutlu oldu\u011fum son alb\u00fcmleri \u201cThe Lost Colony\u201d ba\u015fta t\u00fcm di\u011fer \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131na gerek web sitelerinden gerek di\u011fer sosyal medya hesaplar\u0131ndan ula\u015fmak m\u00fcmk\u00fcn. When I reseached about the musicians who will play at the Folk&Valdmusikgalan night, Siri Karlsson was one of the first bands that got my attension before I went to Sweden for the gigs.<\/p>\n

I’ve met with those two excellent musicians Maria and Cecilia after they played in Vasteras. Siri Karlsson duo took their name from a woman folk-hero who lived in the south area of Sweden in 19th century. They get inspired from the bands like The Believer,Timber Timbre,Bj\u00f6rk,Tom Waits,Les Big Byrd,Kriget,Erik Satie ,Jose Gonzales,Ane Brun . So far they played in vorious countries . The band is going to play and meet with the audience in May at Burkiana Faso.<\/p>\n

Their last album “The Last Colony” and their other wats which I’m so happy to have it in my own arcive are now available on their web-site and all their social media accounts . And of course on ITunes you can buy them too.<\/p>\n

Well,would you please tell us how did you come together and how did Siri Karlsson establised ?<\/h5>\n

Okul s\u00fcrecinde arkada\u015ft\u0131k. Birimiz caz ve klasik m\u00fczi\u011fe di\u011ferimiz daha folk, \u0130sve\u00e7 halk m\u00fczi\u011fine yak\u0131nd\u0131 ve bir araya gelerek ortak bir noktada birle\u015fmeyi ama\u00e7lad\u0131k. Birka\u00e7 \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma ve birlikte ge\u00e7en konser sonras\u0131 2008 y\u0131l\u0131nda \u201cMellan Tr\u00e4den\u201d\u0131 kaydetmek i\u00e7in st\u00fcdyoya girdik. Asl\u0131nda bir \u00e7aba i\u00e7inde olmad\u0131k. Daha \u00f6nce birbirimizin pek de tan\u0131mad\u0131\u011f\u0131 m\u00fczikleri yap\u0131yorduk, bu vesile ile bir araya gelince ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan uyumu \u00e7ok sevdik. Bazen birbirimizi be\u011fenmedi\u011fimiz anlar oldu ve birbirimizi ele\u015ftirdik de \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131rken ama her \u015fekilde ortada birle\u015fmeyi ba\u015fard\u0131k. Elbette bir amac\u0131m\u0131z, tavr\u0131m\u0131z var ama \u015fu an bunu farkl\u0131 iki rengin bir bulu\u015fmas\u0131 \u015feklinde sunuyoruz.<\/p>\n

We were school friends. One of us was into jazz and classical music and the other was closer to the folk and Swedish folk music. We aimed to bring those diffren together. After couple of rehersals and concerts,we started to record “Mellan Traden”. We were maling different kind of musics before we come together and we liked the result when we started to play together. Altough sometimes we didn’t like each others style and criticeized each other, we could manage to come together. Of course we have goals one attitudes but we are more on the side to see our common tastes.<\/p>\n

Kliplerinizde, sahnenizde, foto\u011fraflar\u0131n\u0131zda hep bir imaj i\u00e7inde g\u00f6r\u00fcyoruz sizi, bunun bir mesaj\u0131 var m\u0131 yoksa her \u015fey i\u00e7inizden geldi\u011fi gibi mi tamamen?<\/h5>\n
When we watch your videos,concerts etc… We see that you as a band has it’s own style. Do you have any message behind of that style ?<\/h5>\n

M\u00fczik bizim i\u00e7in sadece notalar de\u011fil, ba\u015fl\u0131 ba\u015f\u0131na bir hikaye, hepsinin anlatmak istedi\u011fi bir \u015fey var, o sebeple biz bunlar\u0131 da yans\u0131tmak zorunda hissediyoruz dinleyiciye. Ama her \u015fey olabildi\u011fince kendi gibi asl\u0131nda, \u00e7ok \u00f6zel bir \u00e7aba sarf etmiyoruz bunun i\u00e7in, i\u00e7imizden geldi\u011fi gibi.<\/p>\n

For us music is not just the notes, it has a story. There is a story in every song we make. Thus we want to reflect that to our awdience. We just behave as we fell,there is no special effor behind of it.<\/p>\n

This year you opened the Folk&Varldmusikgalan, and I was happy to watch you. How did you fell that night ?<\/h5>\n

Bizim i\u00e7in g\u00fczel bir f\u0131rsatt\u0131 ve biz de bu bulu\u015fmadan \u00e7ok mutlu olduk. M\u00fczi\u011fimizin olabildi\u011fince daha \u00e7ok insana ula\u015fmas\u0131n\u0131 istiyoruz. \u0130stedi\u011fimiz bir \u015fey daha var ki o da sahnede kad\u0131nlar\u0131n daha \u00e7ok olmas\u0131; sesleri ve enstr\u00fcmanlar\u0131 ile daha \u00e7ok insana m\u00fczi\u011fini duyurmas\u0131.<\/p>\n

It was a very good opportunity for us and we were so happy to play. We want that our musicreaches to everyone. And there is on other thing that we want to arcive; we would like to see more women play music on the stage.<\/p>\n

Acele etmiyoruz \u00e7\u00fcnk\u00fc i\u015fin i\u00e7inde bizzat yer alarak, kendi kendimize yava\u015f yava\u015f yol almay\u0131 seviyoruz. Her ad\u0131m bizi daha mutlu ediyor, g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc k\u0131l\u0131yor.<\/p>\n

We don’t hurry about that because we rather like to wait and see what future brings. Every step we take just makes us happy.<\/p>\n

What about your album recording?<\/h5>\n

Haz\u0131rl\u0131klar\u0131 devam ediyor. Berlin\u2019de kay\u0131tlar olacak ve Eyl\u00fcl ay\u0131 gibi yeni \u015fark\u0131lar\u0131m\u0131z\u0131 payla\u015fmay\u0131 diliyoruz.<\/p>\n

We continive to prepare ourselves. We are goig to record some materials in Berlin soon. End of September we will share our recordings.<\/p>\n

Same for us. We also would like to come to Turkey to play over there. And we want to discover the music of the country.<\/p>\n
