World-famous accordion artist Lelo Nika was one of the names who left her mark on Folk & V\u00e4rldsmusikgalan 2016 in Sweden. She was on the stage as Lelo Nika Trio with George Mihalache and Thommy Andersson with whom she worked for many years.<\/p>\n

Lelo Niko has Serbia and Rumania blood. She immigrated from her native town to Denmark and started to take accordion lessons from the Serbian accodion artist Branimir Cokic. We made an interview with her after an enjoyable Sunday breakfast.<\/p>\n

You met accordion on early age, how was this meeting and what were the first things poured out from the notes?<\/h5>\n

Tan\u0131\u015fmama babam vesile oldu, d\u00f6rt ya\u015f\u0131nda \u00e7almaya ba\u015flad\u0131m. Evimizde \u00e7alan \u015fark\u0131lard\u0131, duyduklar\u0131m, bizim topraklar\u0131n \u015fark\u0131lar\u0131.<\/p>\n

Thans to my father, I started to play at the age of 4. I listened to the songs that play at our house, the songs of my land.<\/p>\n

You are a great team on the stage with George Mihalache and Thommy Andersson. How many years you have been together?<\/h5>\n

Thommy ekibin bas\u00e7\u0131s\u0131 ve 16 y\u0131ld\u0131r kadar birlikteyiz. Tambal sanat\u00e7\u0131s\u0131 George ile \u00e7ok daha eskiye dayan\u0131yor. San\u0131r\u0131m her \u015feyi sevgi ile a\u015f\u0131yoruz, m\u00fczi\u011fe sevgi ile yakla\u015f\u0131yoruz bu da bizi heyecanla ayakta tutuyor.<\/p>\n

Thommy is the bass guitarist of the group and we have been together for 16 years. It has been much longer with the tambal artist George. We are getting through everything with love. We are approaching music with love. And this makes us alive.<\/p>\n

You took your music to many countries in the world, you had many listeners\u2026 How is this feeling?<\/h5>\n

Geleneksellikten asla kopmad\u0131k, bu san\u0131r\u0131m samimi bir \u015fekilde ge\u00e7ti dinleyiciye. Bizim m\u00fczi\u011fimizde hayat\u0131n iki rengi var: Sevin\u00e7 ve h\u00fcz\u00fcn. Bunlar\u0131n yan yana gelmesi ile ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan renk san\u0131r\u0131m bir\u00e7ok ki\u015finin tam da duymak istedi\u011fi, dinlemek istedi\u011fi.<\/p>\n

We never left traditionality. I think the listener found this sincere. We have two colors of life in our music: Joy and Sadness. I think the color that arises from the combination of them is the thing that many people want to hear and listen.<\/p>\n

Evet biliyorum. T\u00fcrkiye k\u00fclt\u00fcrel anlamda \u00e7ok zengin ve ben de takip etmeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131yorum. Umar\u0131m bir g\u00fcn orada bulunurum ve insanlar\u0131 ile tan\u0131\u015f\u0131r\u0131m.<\/p>\n

Yes I know. Turkey is very rich in culture and I also try to follow it. I hope I will be there some day and meet Turkish people.<\/p>\n

Yann Tiersen ismini verebilirim. O \u00e7ok farkl\u0131 ve g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc bir m\u00fczisyen, kendisine e\u015flik etmek isterim.<\/p>\n

I can give the name Yann Tiersen. He is very different and powerful musician. I want to accompany him.<\/p>\n
